Upcoming Events

I will try to keep an up to date listing of events I’ll be attending, and some that I won’t be attending but think you should!
I’m excited to be the keynote speaker (Creating Change: Adopting Sustainable Practices) at the Living Green in Quinte Show (formerly called the Sustainable Living Symposium) on April 9th at Loyalist College in Belleville and hosting a stop on their bus tours to show off the Arts Centre Hastings building on April 10th.  The Living Green show features talks, workshops and an exhibitor area featuring all kinds of sustainable living ideas. Check out the full program at www.quintesustainability.ca
On April 12th I’ll be attending the celebration and award ceremony for the Home Sweet Home Competition and Student Challenge! The evening promises to be a powerful, inspiring and fruitful event, with plenty of networking opportunities with the best, brightest and greenest from both the industry and academic worlds. Sponsorship opportunities now available! Click here for details. Our Habitat for Humanity project is up for the Affordable Homes category award!
I’ll be presenting on my work with Fleming College and with prefab straw bale walls at a CMHC sponsored conference on May 16th. CMHC is working with the Town & Gown Association of Ontario, the City of Cambridge and the University of Waterloo to host an event at the University of Waterloo, School of Architecture Cambridge, 7 Melville Street South, Cambridge (Ontario) on May 16, 2011. There will be representatives from academic institutions, government, planners and building/architectural firms in attendance.
